Project Highlights
The Town of Warren solar array consists of 516 solar panels and is located on the Warren Elementary School property in Warren, Vermont.
Through group net metering, the Town of Warren offsets 88% of their entire electrical load, resulting in a substantial savings for the town and local taxpayers.
The array will generate 3,719,340 kWh over 25 years and will avoid carbon emissions of 199,191 pounds each year.
With assistance and facilitation by Aegis, the Town of Warren received an $80,000 Clean Energy Development Fund grant to help finance the project.
The project also serves as a valuable educational example of applied renewable energy technology which can be utilitzed in the school's science curriculum. A monitoring system also provides real time data to the Town of Warren website visitors.
